The County Government of Baringo calls upon all business owners, traders, and residents to embrace the various cashless payment options that are in place to facilitate the convenient, secure, and transparent payment of various county fees and charges.

In line with the County's commitment to modernizing public service delivery and strengthening accountability in revenue collection, the Government has fully adopted a digital payment system designed to eliminate revenue leakages, enhance efficiency, and ensure that all collections directly support development initiatives across the county. The transition to cashless payments is a key reform aimed at improving financial integrity while making it easier for citizens to access essential services without delays associated with manual cash handling.

The use of digital platforms provides faster processing of payments, instant confirmation, and secure transaction records for both the payer and the County Government. This system minimizes errors, reduces the risks associated with cash transactions, and promotes transparency by ensuring that all revenues are accurately recorded and properly utilized to fund priority services such as market improvements, road maintenance, waste management, public safety, and other critical infrastructure projects.

Business owners and members of the public can conveniently make payments by dialing USSD *288# on their mobile phones to access the self-service platform for services including street parking, seasonal parking, market fees, and cess. Payments for single business permits, plot rent, land rates, advertisement fees, development control charges, and other county services may also be made through Paybill Number 315330 or through the KCB Account Number 1141231549 upon issuance of an official payment invoice.

All traders and stakeholders are encouraged to comply with this directive and utilize the approved cashless channels for all county transactions. County staff will continue to provide guidance and support to ensure sustained smooth and seamless uptake of the digital platforms.
