DEPUTY DIRECTOR (Koibatek Agricultural Training Centre); JG Q (ONE POST) (BCPSB/01/2026)

Terms of service: Permanentand Pensionable

Salary: As per SRC

Duties and Responsibilities;

Managerial /Supervisory Responsibilities

i. Supervise administrators, Training officers, farm Managers and othersenior staff

ii. Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with institutionsobjectives

iii. Coordinate preparations and executions of strategic plan, annual workplan and performance management

iv. Mentor, appraise and build capacity of staff across departments

v. Represent the Director in Meetings, Boards and stakeholder engagementswhen delegated.

OperationalResponsibilities/Tasks

· Coordinate Curriculum implementation, training and extensionactivities

· Monitor financial Administrative and farm operations for efficiencyand compliance

· Ensure quality assurance and adherence to TVET and PSC guidelines

· Support resource mobilization, project management and Partnerships

· Prepare performance and progress reports for submissions to theDirector

· Handle disciplinary, staff welfare and grievance management issues

· Perform any other duty as delegated by the Director

Financial Responsibility

· Oversee utilization of budgets in administration, training and farmoperations

· Ensure compliance with Public Finance Management Act and CountyTreasury guidelines

· Responsibility for Physical Assets

Responsibility for physicalAssets

· Custody and oversight of institutional assets (Land, buildings,equipment, vehicles, livestock and training facilities.

· Makes managerial and operational decisions within delegated authority

· Advisory role to the Director on policy, planning and resourceallocation.

Working Conditions

Requirementsfor Appointment

· Be a Kenyan citizen

· Have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field

· Masters Degree in Agriculture, Education, Agricultural Economics,Agribusiness or related field is an added advantage.

· Has proven experience of not less than eight (8) years inadministration or management either in the public or private sector 3 of whichmust be in senior management level.

· Possession of at least a Senior Management Course (SMC) or Strategic Leadership Development program-SLDP

· Demonstrate managerial, leadership and professional competence in workperformance and results
