Note

This is a special transitional consolidated package for ECDE Teachers who accept to partner with the county government on the above terms in anticipation of transitional to better terms in the near future as soon as own source revenue streams is able to support improved terms. The Minimum requirement is a Certificate ECDE Training Certificate and at least 2 years working experience as an ECDE Instructor in a similar institution, but all other categories including Diploma and degree holders who accept the above terms are welcome to apply.

Vacant positions of ECDE Teacher III to replace UT ECDE Teachers in Respective ECDE Centres

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Class teaching; Role modelling, guide and counsel, mentor and motivate learners;

2. Management of ECDE assigned centers

3. Assist in designing organizing and facilitating learning activities for assigned ECDE pupils/learners.

4. Providing opportunities for fostering hands -on learning to assign ECDE pupils

5. Facilitating pre-writing. Pre-reading and number of skills to assigned ECDE pupils

6. Organizing community mobilization meetings and create awareness of assigned ECDE programmes

7. Participating in curriculum development for assigned ECDE pupils/learners

8. Management of ECDE Assigned center

9. May be designated as an ECDE in charge of assigned ECDE center

10. Participate in target setting and organizational competencies for assigned ECDE pupils centers.

11. Develop and maintain a daily register of assigned ECDE Learners /pupils

12. Administer competency assessments to assigned ECDE Pupils learners

13. Prepare regular assessment reports of assigned ECDE pupils /learners

14. Discussing progress reports of learners /pupils with their parents/guardians and school management of assigned ECDE Pupils /Learners

15. Perform any other duty/activity within the scope of responsibility of an ECDE teacher as may be required by the schemes of service and ECDE Curricula And as may be directed by the responsible ECDE in charge, headteacher of the host primary school and or designated ECDE Coordinator or any other lawful authority

Requirements for appointment: -

1. Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education offered by KNEC/Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent;

2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+ (Plus) or KCE division IV at ‘O’ Level; and

3. Registered by diverse the Teachers Service Commission (TSC);

Only trained ECDE Teachers will be considered.
