Kabarnet Municipality has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness as part of a broader strategy to enhance public health, safety, and the towns overall appeal. Under the leadership of Municipal Manager Dr. Salome Tomno, cleanliness has been placed at the centre of municipal operations, positioning Kabarnet as a clean, safe, and dignified destination for both residents and visitors.
Municipal Management say the initiative reflects a shared vision of a healthier, greener, and more attractive Kabarnet, aligned with sustainable urban management principles. Regular cleaning of streets, markets, neighbourhoods, and public spaces has been prioritised, alongside improved waste management practices and the protection of shared public facilities.
Dr. Tomno has called on residents, traders, and visitors to actively support the initiative, noting that maintaining a clean environment is a collective responsibility. Proper waste disposal, keeping surroundings tidy, and safeguarding public amenities, she said, require cooperation between the municipality and the community.
The cleanliness drive is expected to contribute to improved public health outcomes, a better business environment, and enhanced civic pride. Municipal leaders have emphasized that sustained community participation will be key to ensuring Kabarnet remains a town that current and future generations can be proud to call home.
