Baringo County Government led by Governor H.E Stanley Kiptis is targeting to ensure that maternal and neonatal mortality is eradicated by setting up and fully equipping new health facilities in rural areas.

While opening Kapturo dispensary maternity wing in Bartabwa Ward, Baringo North Sub County, a 15 bed capacity facility that will serve more than 1,500 residents who previously had to travel more than 15km to Bartabwa Health Centre to access maternity services, H. E Kiptis urged women to utilize by delivering their babies in it.

"When you deliver at a health facility, you are attended to by skilled health personnel who will ensure safe delivery", Governor advised.

He was accompanied by his Deputy H.E Jacob Chepkwony, Area MCA Reuben Chepsongol, CECs, COs and other leaders.
