The incoming Governor H.E Benjamin Cheboi has promised to implement his campaign promises in order to improve the livelihoods of the residents of Baringo County.
While receiving the mantle of leadership from the outgoing Governor H.E Stanley Kiptis during his swearing-in ceremony held at ASK Showgrounds in Kabarnet, the former Governor said he was live to the fact that the County annual resources may not be able to address his work plans.
H.E Cheboi urged other leaders, national government institutions and other stakeholders to unite to enable him actualize his dream for the vast county saying that he was ready to listen to every voice of reason that will help in achieving his intentions.
In his part, H.E Kiptis said although the people of Baringo spoke the contrary to his expectations on the ballot, he is standing tall on his achievements saying that his regime was able to accomplish many development projects despite the little resources that were made available.
“I want to thank the citizens of this great County for giving me this golden opportunity to serve as their second Governor. Together with the Assembly and my executive, we made great strides during our five year term despite the few resources we received from the exchequer coupled with the challenges brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic” he explained.
