BaringoCounty Teaching and Referral Hospital (BCTRH) has signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) with KabarnetUniversity College (KUC), paving the way for expanded training of nursesand other health professionals in Baringo.

The partnership establishes a frameworkfor collaboration in teaching, clinicaltraining, research and patient care, with KUC set to leverage BCTRHsfacilities and clinical environment to support its planned nursing programme.

The agreement will strengthen the linkbetween classroom learning and hands-on clinical experience, giving studentsaccess to a functioning referral hospital while enabling health practitionersand academic staff to collaborate in research and knowledge sharing.

Beyond nursing education, the twoinstitutions will explore opportunities for joint research and initiativesaimed at addressing community health needs.

The partnership marks a significantstep towards strengthening local capacity for training skilled healthcareprofessionals while supporting better health outcomes in the region.
